QUiCK TriP to the ZoO

WOW..this guy is HUGE!
Hannah loved her day at the Zoo!

Porter seemed right at home in the arms of this
HuGe ApE!
(maybe with a chocolate milk baba?)
My little MONKEY...

Girl vs Gorilla.....
She is my sweet Monkey
We had a great hour and a half at the Zoo today!
(rain~1 mom~0)
We got rained out....but not before seeing the Great Apes..and the Orangutans
AND...the Bird SHOW!
We LOVED being up close to the Bald Eagle..Hawks..Parrots..Doves..Roosters etc!
At the end of the Bird Show I gave each child a dollar to donate and a beautiful bird
took the dollar from them and put it in the donation box!
The rain was pouring in SHEETS...really comin down...so we ran~walked really fast~
to the gift shop...and got some cute things that we apparently couldnt live without
(since even last week when we were there! hee hee...I am such a pushover!)
Hannah brought her friend Madi....Mikayla brought HER friend Maddie
(yep TWO friends...same name)
Porter was MY buddy....and Ty hung out with his Dad
and worked on the Derby Car!
No matter how long we were there....or what we saw....the best part was spending time
with the kids :) I love my children...and LOVE to watch them discover new things..and rediscover things AGAIN in a new light :)
I love the freedom of summer!

That is a darling post, you are a wonderful and fun crazy mom. I bet they just love you so much!
Did the bird REALLY take a dollar and put it in the donation box? Are the birds trained to do that or was it just a freak thing? Wow, either way, how COOL!

Thanks Annie! Yes the bird was trained to sit on the donation box and take the money from the people..and put it in the slot :) it made it MUCH more fun to donate!
there were other birds that were trained to fly to memebers of the audience and take money from their hands...and then would fly back with a coupon for chocolate milk :)
and....the show was FREE to watch!
